CRANK&WHO?

WATT WE'RE ABOUT...

WELCOME TO CRANK AND WATT,  WHERE REBELLION MEETS CREATIVITY. WE’RE NOT ABOUT CONFORMING; WE’RE ABOUT CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY, THE LAYERS, AND THE EXHILARATION OF CYCLING.

In a world where cycling terminology can feel like a foreign language, We’re here to bridge the gap, decode the intricate dance of spokes, sprockets, and gear ratios to ensure you get it right. Crank and Watt can be your ride guide, translating the exciting world of cycling for newcomers, enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike.

To start with, and inspired by our friends seeking advice on what cycling gifts to buy their partners, we thought it would be a good idea to simplify things so it's easier for those who don't ride, and to be fair those who do, to buy their cycling friend, partner or family member something fun and unique, but also useful.

CRANK AND WHO?

ESTABLISHED IN 2021, CRANK AND WATT IS A SMALL TEAM OF PASSIONATE INDVIDUALS HEADED UP JASON AND CRAIG

We’re a couple of cycling creatives with extensive experience in all aspects of moving image & design having worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, broadcasters and organisations including the Brit Awards, The London Paralympic Opening & Closing Ceremonies, The Laureus World Sports Awards, the Grammy’s, MTV EMA’s, Red Bull Music, Zwift The Race: Wheels for Heroes and many more.

We discovered we both enjoyed the joys (and pain) of two wheels after a ride up Holme Moss together, where Crank and Watt was born.

A BIT MORE ABOUT US
Crank and Watt?
CRANK AND WATT?

We nicked the technique Bowie employed for song writing. Bowie nicked the technique from William S Burroughs. So it’s a winner in our eyes.

Pulling together a plethora of cycling terms, phrases & words, sticking them in a hat and pulling out 2 bits of paper. As it happens, we had to do this a couple of times before dropping on something that resonated with our ethos.

CRAIG GLEDHILL

During a 20+ year career in TV, I produced some of the biggest music and live events in the UK & Europe. But all that work didn't leave much time for play.

So I got a new bike and did the 100 mile Ride London . N+1 was purchased and the following year I suffered La Marmotte. I'm a big advocate of the 'wave' or 'nod' and love riding with friends old and new.

Being a fellow Yorkshireman, it has to be Pidders

JASON MULLINGS

I founded and still run Hello Charlie. We create visual content for Broadcast, Live Events, Music, Commercials, Branding and Digital Media.

I also ride bikes. After that crawl up Holme Moss with Craig, the idea of combining my experience and skills with a cycling project where we are in control of the brief got me excited.

Fave Crank

G. So many words to describe him, but 'Ledge' seems to sum him up nicely

Fave Watt

It's a toss up between Lotte Kopecky or Josh Tarling. Unreal riders for different reasons
